The Bears
Charlie (short for Charlotte) goes everywhere with her boyfriend, Harry.
She does offer a lot of love and affection to everyone who comes into contact with her, but she is not quite the goody-two-shoes she first appears. She loves being in the centre of all the activity, and Harry has to keep her from taking too many risks. Rope-swinging is her speciality, and everyone is dreading her discovering bungee jumping!
When the orphans go off on adventures, Charlie is always the first – except for when there are any ‘old fogies’ about, when she feels she has to put on her lady-like appearance. She is not quite a tomboy, but she is certainly heading that way.
Her favourite saying is, “Ain’t no flappers on me.” (which means ‘no flies on me!’ – she’s a cool chick).
