The Bears
Roxie is short for Roxanne, and she is an Afro Carribean bear.
She is very pretty and not too large, but this hides the fact that she is strong-minded and the leader of the young ones. The other bears don’t argue with her and tend to go along with what she says, but this is partly because it’s Roxie who takes the blame if things go wrong!
Roxie sees herself as the coolest bear at the Orphanage, especially with her brightly coloured, tea cosy hat. Some people see her as very rebellious, and she is happy to go along with that, but actually she has had a hard life and really enjoys being cared for and loved.
Roxie’s favourite saying is, “Don’t be a koala, bud.”
